German-based watch brand MeisterSinger has made single-hand watches its trademark yet with the new Metris Mellow Yellow they take this to the next level.

The most noticeable feature is the bright yellow dial, with black Arabic numerals and red details. It is housed in a stainless steel case, which has been given a coating of black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC). As the name already indicates is this coating very hard, making it difficult to scratch.

With the Metris Mellow Yellow, the black case also adds a lot of contrast to an already very expressive watch. It is fitted with an automatic, Swiss-made movement, and MeisterSinger also made sure that the strap that comes with this watch stays in theme. It is most certainly suitable for an active lifestyle, as its water resistance is 200 meters, quite deep for a watch that was not made explicitly for use in water. A crown protector further secures the screw-down crown, making this watch perfect for those who like a slightly provocative, well-made watch on the wrist.

The author 0024 Editorial Team

When we started publishing our first high-end watch magazine in 1999, we had only one intention: increasing the popularity of high-quality mechanical watches. Now, many years later, this has not changed at all. In 2017 we have reinvented ourselves to serve our readers in a different and better way. Starting in 2017, the new 0024 is again better equipped to interact with the changing world of high-end watches. The new 0024 HORLOGES magazine (written in Dutch) will be at least a 200 pager: that’s twice the volume of our magazine in the old days.
