Remembering Karel Hubert

Here at 0024 we are in the business of time. And right now we really hate time. We want to turn back time because our founding editor Karel Hubert has passed away last Thursday, April 16 at the early age of 65 and we really, really miss him. It was his own choice to stop his time here on earth and we respect that. But that doesn’t mean we don’t want to go back in time to be able to listen to his incredible anecdotes, his snappy one-liners or hearing him talk about an obscure artist he discovered recently.

Napoleon’s DNA in DeWitt watches

A historic sale of the private collection of HRH Prince Louis II of Monaco, the greatgrandfather of HRH Prince Albert of Monaco, was held in Fontainebleau on 16th November this year. Viviane de Witt, CEO of the DeWitt company, acquired two lots containing strands of the Emperor's hair, with the intention of enclosing them in DeWitt watches so that admirers of the Emperor can carry his DNA on their wrists.

Citizen shoots an inspiring movie: ‘Better Starts Now’

A great little watch movie with a message and looks awesome. The film ‘Better Starts Now’ was made by Dutch commercial maker Johan Kramer, production company 100% Halal and agency Wieden+Kennedy Tokio for Citizen and shows the philosophy of the Japanese brand that it’s always possible to improve. Now is the time to start improving according to Citizen and it tells that message in short movie that was shot at a watchmaker’s workbench and the black and white images were shot with original camera’s from the 30’s and 80’s.
