Anonimo is back with a bang

After being bought up in 2013, Anonimo is now pursuing new lines of development in Switzerland. The collectionhas been reworked to bring out more of cohesion, and its manufacture now meets Swiss Made criteria. So Anonimo watches are now a combination of Swiss precision and Italian style. The watches are characterized by a stringent, elaborate yet functional design, heavily influenced by professional watches that used to be produced on the banks of the Arno for submariners and combat divers from the Marina Militare. The dials are free from irrelevant details, in order to remain legible under all circumstances.

Op Bezoek: de Panerai manufactuur in Neuchatel

The Panerai production headquarter is no longer located in the former police station near the lake, but has since 2014 been located up a bit further in the hilly Pierre-á-Bout area. The building is not a former this or that but instead a 10.000 square meters state of the art manufacture build specifically to Panerai offering a fantastic workplace for approximately 250 employees. Our reporter Kristian Haagen flew over for a visit and came back with facts and photos.

Vintage watches: the Heuer Autavia

The interest of vintage watches has never been bigger than it is today. And while the Newmans, Nautilus’ and tourbillons keep breaking records, collectors start to look elsewhere for that new interesting timepiece. One of these interesting news is the Heuer Autavia. When Jack Heuer designed the Autavia, he wanted to create a stopwatch that could be used by motor heads as well as pilots of all trades. The name is a play with the two words AUTo and AVIAtion, according to Jack Heuer.

Urban Jürgensen Reference 1741 Platinum

Jürgen Jürgensen is the undisputed king and godfather of watchmaking in Denmark. In 1798 for instance he travelled to Paris to study with Abraham-Louis Breguet, in 1801 he built a remarkable bimetallic thermometer and after that he started to create very precise chronometers. The Jürgensen watch dynasty ended in 1912 with the death of the last Jürgensen but the company stayed alive and went abroad to Switzerland. In 2014 the ownership returned to Danish hands and with CEO Søren J. Petersen at the helm Urban Jürgensen moves into the future.

Krons in Stockholm turns 50

A 50th birthday has to be celebrated with an unforgettable party. For celebrating Krons 50-year anniversary, all the needed ingredients were there: a dj for good music, champagne to toast with, balloons, bright shining diamonds and – last but not least – family, friends, staff, partners and clients to celebrate with. Primary colours, primal love

Let’s go back to the late 1980s when Frenchman Alain Silberstein decides to give up his job as an interior designer to start his own watch brand together with his wife, Sylvie. Silberstein’s watches are like birds of paradise among sparrows. Primary colours and clear geometric shapes, that reflect some of the Bauhaus philosophy as well, are the foundation of his watches. In-your-face watches that you either love or hate.
