SIHH 2017 Flash Report: Montblanc TimeWalker collection

What happens when you send Davide Cerrato – the spiritual father of the Tudor Heritage Black Baytudo – to Minerva’s manufacture in Villeret and ask him to come up with a new collection of sportswatches. TimeWalker happens. A modern take on the vintage art of timing motor racing.

Two haute horlogerie pieces shine at the top end of the collection. A chronograph capable of measuring 1/1000th of a second and a multipurpose Rally Timer you can use as a watch, a table clock and a dashboard instrument. More affordable are the two chronographs and the automatic TimeWalker.

sihh-2017-flash-report-montblanc-timewalker-collection-03The Automatic is a 41mm watch with either a black or a silver dial and a ceramic monobloc bezel. The two chronographs -pictured here during the pre-SIHH presentation in sunny California – come in a 43mm case. The regular Chrono also comes in a black and silver dial and the Chronograph UTC comes in a black case with only a black dial available. The red arrow on the chronograph second hand is a subtle reference to the signature arrow in Minerva movements.
